The highly anticipated debut of the 2021-22 Eagles boys basketball team has arrived as they join the girls on the road to Albia this evening for the first varsity doubleheader of the winter season.

Pella Christian opens with the boys basketball team that book-ended last year with losses to Albia, a fact that Head Coach J.D. Boer says isn’t lost on his team but one they can’t dwell on, knowing that there are some key differences.

The vast majority of the Eagles’ boys team from last winter is back and ready to make a push back to the state tournament.

Meanwhile, the Pella Christian girls are aiming to bounce back after a hard-fought 60-50 loss to No. 13 in 1A Montezuma on November 23rd.
