Near record high temperatures are possible this week in south central Iowa. The record high of 64 today set in 1998 and 66 set in 1973 are in jeopardy of being broken, with temperatures in the mid-60s possible, according to the National Weather Service. The long-term outlook from the National Climate Prediction Center shows strong chances of above average temperatures continuing over the next several weeks.
