With several holiday season activities occurring in Pella Thursday through Saturday, the Pella Police Department reminds all drivers to be mindful of extra traffic on the roads and sidewalks. Captain Paul Haase says with the Tour of Homes, Kerstmarkt, Sinterklaas Day celebration, Union Street Players shows, and more, several areas near downtown Pella will experience significant travel delays at times. He says with extra pedestrians expected, that anyone planning to drive through the Central Business District needs to do so with extra caution. Additionally, Haase says anyone planning to attend Christmas and holiday parties needs to do so responsibility and to come up with alternatives to driving while intoxicated.
