The Knoxville bowling squads opened their seasons at the Newton Invitational on Saturday. The boys placed 3rd behind Waukee and Oskaloosa shooting an overall pin total of 2,370. Junior Deven Renard had a high series of 364 and a high game of 204. The girls were 5th overall shooting a 1,601. Paige Ludington rolled a 287 to lead the Panthers and Raegan Cook had a high game of 154. Coach Shaun Renard told KNIA/KRLS Sports overall he was happy with how the bowlers performed, but ads spare pick up will need some work. The Panthers will host Davis County and Centerville in a triangular on Tuesday at Statesmen Lanes in Oskaloosa.
