Three area wrestling teams traveled to Sigourney for a quad meet Tuesday night.
Pella knocked off PCM 48-30, Pleasantville 60-18, and fell to the host Savages 45-36. T.R. Putz (145) earned three victories by fall with Michael Muller (113), Damion Clark (120), Logan Schroeder (126), and Noah Parsons (195) each earning three wins. The Dutch wrestling team is next in action Saturday at South Tama.
The Trojans defeated the Mustangs 39-36 and both area schools also lost to Sigourney. Jesse Smith at 106 lbs and Kitt Lundy at 138 lbs were the top performers for the Trojans, coming away with three victories on the night. With the 1-2 quadrangular, Pleasantville’s dual record now stands at 4-2 and the Trojans are at the Tri-County Invitational Saturday.
PCM’s Kaden Clark swept the heavyweight matches with a 3-0 night. The Mustangs hit the road for a dual with Nevada Friday.
