The Pella Christian bowling teams are set to begin their season this weekend as they host Oskaloosa on Saturday.
The Eagles struggled last winter as both the boys and girls bowling teams won just one meet a piece. The Pella Christian boys defeated Sigourney while the girls lone win came against Knoxville. While the Eagles are hoping to pick up a few more wins this winter, Pella Christian Head Coach Rod Blunck says his goal is making sure his team is putting forth their best in each match.
“I keep telling them that it doesn’t have to be a great score, but just do the best you can. If 100 is the best you’ve got then give me 100. If you can get 200 then that’s great, but it’s just interesting to watch them grow.”
The Eagles opening bowling match against Oskaloosa will be at 1 pm this Saturday at Dutch 200 Bowl & Grill.
