The Pella Christian bowling teams have their first meet of the 2021-2022 season today as they host Oskaloosa this afternoon.

The Eagles boys bowling team lost just two bowlers from a season ago, and saw the team grow from 15 members last year to 20 this season. The girls squad lost just one member of last year’s team and had the roster grow from seven to nine bowlers this season. With the growth of the team, Eagles Head Coach Rod Blunck hopes to see more fans at the bowling alley this season.

“We would love to see the folks. I’m not sure how much the kids like having their parents there, but I’d love to see the parents come. They’ll cheer, at the right time even, and we have a good time with the parents too. So, it’s good for them to be here.”

Pella Christian’s opening bowling match with Oskaloosa today starts at 1 pm at Dutch 200 Bowl and Grill.
