The Pleasantville Christian Church will hold the second day of its moving sale to help with the church’s building fund. Pleasantville resident and church member Midge Brooks has offered several items for sale, with all the proceeds going toward the church’s building fund. Church board member Lois Turnage says the funds will be used for last-minute items needed in the church.

“They’re going to help us finish off the details and last minute expenses that always occur. There’s some areas that still need to be addressed, changes that need to be made. We’re planning on using this generous donation to finalize and finish up those last minute expenses.”

The sale will be today from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 403 N Washington Street in Pleasantville. Turnage says the church is nearly complete, and the goal is to have the Christmas Eve service in the new building. The original church was destroyed in a fire in spring 2020.
