The Grand Theater in Knoxville will host local artist Brian Herrin for “A Grand New Year’s Eve” on the evening of December 31st, an event generously sponsored by the McKay Group in Knoxville. Grand Theater Director Jocelyn Fee says this is an effort to bring downtown Knoxville to life on the holiday.
“On New Year’s Eve in Knoxville, there’s not a lot going on. We’ve got a lot of small communities around us where you have to go an hour away to hear live music, to see something interesting, and we want to change that. We want to bring it downtown to a small place. We have restaurants, drink spots, lots of great things going on, and we want to bring more people here.”
Herrin is currently a solo artist, and has shared the stage with acts such as the NItty Gritty Dirt Band, Vertical Horizon, Carly Rae Jepsen and more. Shows will be held December 31st at 7:00 and 8:45 p.m. in the Grand Theater. The cost is $10 for one show and $15 for both shows. Tickets will be available starting Wednesday, December 15th at the Grand Theater box office.
