The Indianola High School Jazz 1 and Jazz 2 bands competed in the South Central Iowa Bandmasters Association Jazz Festival at Waukee this weekend. The Jazz 1 band earned solo awards from Zane Kolosik and Sam Thessen, while Erik Jensen and Keegan Tilley earned solo awards for the Jazz 2 band. Nine Indianola High School students were selected to the South Central Iowa Bandmasters Association Honor Band, which will compete January 8th at Ankeny High School.
