The Knoxville Basketball Squads will come back home to face Davis County tonight. The Panthers split in Chariton on Friday as the girls fell in their game to the Chargers. The Panthers will look to end a three game losing streak and get their first win in the South Central Conference. Coach Matt Ritchhart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports tonight’s opponent will provide is difficult assignment and he can already see after the first week, there is nothing guaranteed in the conference.
Ritchhart: “They just beat Eddyville the other night so the conference is grinding on each other with the exception of Chariton and Centerville. Davis County lost to Centerville and turned around and beat Eddyville, so this conference has some depth.”
The boys were able to put things together for the most part on Friday to take down Chariton for their first win of the season. Coach Troy Pearson noted his team was able to do several things that they could not in the first two games of the season. You can hear the action on 95.3 KNIA at 6:15, audio will also be provided on the KHS Activities You Tube Channel.
