A former Pella High School kicker was once again a key part of the NAIA Football Champions. Knoxville-area Native Chase Carter was 5-for-5 on point-after tries and hit a field goal as Morningside topped Grand View in the all-Iowa NAIA finals Saturday 38-28.

Carter was a 2nd team NAIA All-American selection and the starting kicker for what is now his second championship with the Mustangs in three seasons. This came in a year where he was selected as the NAIA Special Teams Player of the Week, topping the 100-made extra point mark.

Chase was 47/48 on point after tries and four of five on field goal makes for the 2018 Pella football team.
