Both of Pleasantville’s basketball squads ended the 2021 calendar year with victories Monday night as the girls defeated Lynnville-Sully, while the boys dominated Woodward Academy.

 

The Trojans’ girls took down Lynnville-Sully for the first time in the Varsity Bound era, 47-30. It was a historic night for Trojan Senior Adi Adreon, as she tied a school record with six three-pointers and knocked in 22 points. Rachel Harvey was second on the team in scoring as she had nine. Pleasantville will head into the Holiday Break with a 6-4 overall record and a 2-3 record in West Central Conference play.

 

The Trojans’ boys won their third straight game over Woodward Academy, annihilating the Knights, 78-34. Pleasantville got another high-scoring night from Mason Scheve, as he knocked in 25 points and also had four steals. Dayson Leerhoff and Taylon Mount each had double-figures also for the Trojans. Leerhoff had 14 while Mount had 11 and three assists. With the win, Pleasantville ends the 2021 calendar year with a 4-3 overall record and a 3-3 record in West Central Conference play.

 

Both Pleasantville squads will be back in action January 4th, 2022 for a West Central Conference doubleheader with Panorama.
