The Indianola City Council approved appointments to the Indianola Arts Commission and Planning and Zoning Commission at their meeting Monday, filling the advisory boards that assist the council with decisions in specific areas. Interim City Manager Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News the boards have a chance to dig deep into topics that the council may not always have time to, and then pass a recommendation on to the council meeting.
“The council as an elected body relies on these individual boards and commissions to help guide the decisions they are making in specific areas. The city is always looking for volunteers to serve on the boards and commissions, and we have openings on the various boards right now to help the council.”
