The Indianola girls basketball team is 6-2 to start the season, with their only losses coming on the road to Lewis Central and Dallas Center-Grimes, and the shooting from long range in those games is a big part of the outcome of those games.
The Indians shot well below their season average in both of their losses this season, shooting 24.5% against the Titans and 22.9% against the Mustangs, after averaging over 36% from the field for the entire season. Head coach Jeff Janssen tells KNIA Sports a big part of the Indians offense is getting into a rhythm, which is fueled by defensive pressure and creating transition buckets.
The Indians are off for the remainder of 2021, and return to Little Hawkeye Conference play on January 4th hosting Grinnell.
