
Unemployment rates slightly dropped locally last month, according to county-by-county data released by Iowa Workforce Development this week.
In Marion County, 2% unemployment was reported in November, lower than the 2.2% reported in October. There are 18,070 individuals working, and 360 receiving benefits and seeking work. One year ago, the rate was 2.8% locally.
In Warren County, 2.2% unemployment was reported in November, lower than 2.5% in October. The number of employed residents is at 27,600 and 600 individuals are considered unemployed but seeking work. One year ago, the rate was 3.1% locally.
