The Indianola School Board met in a special session Tuesday evening reviewing personnel recommendations, of which included the pending retirement of Superintendent Art Sathoff, who submitted his resignation.

The board accepted the resignation, which will go into effect on June 30th of 2022, and released the following statement:

“We are very thankful for his leadership and service to our students, staff, and community these past seven-and-a-half years and especially during the last year-and-a-half as he led our district through the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The board also said that they are beginning the search for a new Superintendent, and are committed to finding a Superintendent who will continue to successfully lead the district. Find the full statement with this story on KNIAKRLS.com.
