Another large donation made its way to the Pella Police Department K-9 Fundraiser before Christmas. Captain Paul Haase says the Kuyper Foundation and the Pella Corporation Family Shareholders are contributing $12,000 to the K9 program. Haase says they have now exceeded their fundraising goal of $100,000, which will cover the cost of the dog, a specialized vehicle, equipment, training, care, and continuing education in the future for the dog and handler.
