If Knoxville Panther fans are wondering if the boys are taking a few more three point attempts this season than in years past, you are right. The Panthers have over 150 three point attempts this season. Coach Troy Pearson has installed a faster paced and more shooting style offense. However, that brings at times, shots that may not be as advised as others. Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports while his team is starting to understand what a good shot is from an OK shot, they are still learning that system.
Pearson: “We know that is who we are a little bit, but we don’t want to rush those three point attempts, and we are starting to understand the difference between a good three point attempt and an OK three point attempt.”
Pearson says they will still continue to search for three point attempts, but when given the chance they will also look for other shots like a mid range or lay up. Knoxville is back in action on January 4th at Centerville.
