The Marion County Conservation Department will be collecting discarded Christmas trees in Knoxville on Monday, January 3rd. Pickup routes will only be driven once. The department requests that trees be placed next to the street curb before 8:00 a.m. on January 3rd, be free of all decorations, tree stands, metal fasteners, and tinsel, and should not be in plastic bags.

Those wanting to dispose of trees themselves can take them to a tree drop-off site at Marion County Park through January 15th. All trees will be used for wildlife cover and fisheries habitat in conservation areas.
