New Pella City Councilmember Spencer Carlstone and re-elected officials Mark DeJong and Lynn Branderhorst were sworn into office Tuesday, and begin their next terms on January 1st.

Carlstone narrowly defeated Bruce Schiebout in the November elections, and Bruce’s tenure on council will end after 20 years in Ward 3. DeJong won in a four-way At-Large race, while Branderhorst won re-election against Kyle Nelson in Ward 1.
