The Knoxville Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place this year. The event was cancelled last year due to COVID-19 concerns and Hall of Fame Committee Member Joe Cunningham is excited to have the event back on January 7th. Cunningham tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the luncheon is his favorite part of the day because you get to meet with the inductees and hear their stories.

Cunningham: “The ceremony we do at the game is wonderful and it’s done great, but the luncheon is where you get to interact with the indictees and hear their story and that’s what I love about that.”

The luncheon will take place at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame at noon on January 7th, the inductions will be in between the Knoxville vs. Albia basketball games which will be carried live on 95.3 KNIA. Tickets for the luncheon are $20 and can be purchased by contacting Cunningham Financial Services at 828-6173.
