The Norwalk girls basketball team had an up and down start to the season, but is above .500 heading into the break. Entering the last week of the 2021 schedule, the Warriors were 2-3, but won both games in dominant fashion to head into the break on a high note. Head Coach Jill Martin says the focus over the next couple of weeks will be to continue to play well as a team and be disciplined.
“There’s not a lot we’re going to change. It’ll be the girls getting shots up, continuing to be disciplined on the defensive end, and building off what we have going. They’re starting to find their niche and their role, and how to play together. When you merge freshmen into a group that’s already set, that’s tough to do sometimes, but these girls have done an incredible job on and off the court of bonding, figuring each other out, and playing for one another.”
Norwalk returns to action January 3rd at Van Meter.
