With the arrival of 2022, Pleasantville’s boys’ basketball squad has the opportunity to get better and improve defensively.
The Trojans currently sit at 4-3 on the season with a 3-3 record in West Central Conference play, and most of their victories are because of their offensive output. Pleasantville through seven games averaged just over 63.5 points per game. The magic number for Pleasantville offensively, just like on defense, is 60, as in the amount of points they score. The Trojans have put 60 or more points on the board in four games and have won every game. Pleasantville put up 78 against Melcher-Dallas and Woodward Academy, 60 against Earlham, and 68 against Ogden. The Trojans are 0-3 when they score less than 60 points. Pleasantville scored 58 against Madrid, 55 against Van Meter, and 48 against Des Moines Christian.
Pleasantville opens the 2022 calendar year as part of a girls/boys West Central Conference doubleheader with Panorama Tuesday night.
