The Knoxville City Council held its first meeting of 2022 Monday. They approved the appointment of Bob Stuyvesant as city attorney. Stuyvesant has served in the position for 36 years. They approved a resolution naming depositories for city funds, approved representatives to the Central Iowa Regional Transportation Alliance, and approved membership with the Mid-Iowa Planning Alliance for Community Development. They also selected the Des Moines Register as the official city paper of record, among other matters.
