The Marion County Board of Supervisors held its annual organizational meeting on Monday. They named Mark Raymie Chair, and Kisha Jahner Vice Chair. They retained the same meeting time and place; the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 9:00 am in the Emergency Management Office Conference Room. They named the Marion County Express as the official publication, and authorized official depositories of funds. They raised the maximum deposit with Marion County Bank to 25 million dollars, and Midwest One to 35 million. They approved the Master Matrix for animal confinement construction, continuing to adopt DNR standards. They approved deputy appointments, including that of Andrew Schuchhardt as Jailer. They approved numerous other appointments, and a mileage reimbursement rate of 58.5 cents per mile, which reflects the federal rate, among other matters.
