The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening, the first full meeting with newly elected Mayor Stephanie Erickson and council members Ron Dalby, Christina Beach, and Steve Richardson. Interim City Manager Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News with the arrival of so many new members to the council, there will be a learning curve to get up to speed on city operations, which for Monday’s meeting included some changes to what would normally be standard agenda at the request of Mayor Erickson.

‘Things like the types of applications, the settings of hearings, the referrals that we do, things like that. So I think as we get through it and the new council familiarizes themselves with the processes we might slowly start seeing those things go back on the consent agenda, but for the time being I think agendas will probably look like this for the next few meetings.”
