Dangerous wind chills will impact the area through the end of the work week. Air temperatures in the single digits to low teens during the day and overnight lows approaching and dropping below zero, coupled with breezy winds, will make cold air dangerous to those outside for extended times or without proper precautions. Daytime wind chills may drop as low as 15 below zero and those overnight will feel as cold as 25 below, which can cause frostbite and hypothermia in as little as 30 minutes. The arctic burst of air is expected to continue through Friday night, with a brief warm up to near the freezing mark by Saturday, before another round of chilly conditions returning by Sunday morning.
