The Central College women’s soccer team was awarded the United Soccer Coaches Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award for the sixth straight season.

The honor is awarded based on exhibiting fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the rules of the game. Levels are based on a percentage calculated by the total number of yellow or red cards received by players and coaches divided by the team’s number of games. In 17 games, the Dutch received only two yellow cards and no red cards and received the Silver Award.

Six schools received the Platinum Award, with 17 given the Gold Award. Central was among just 44 men’s or women’s squads to receive the Silver Award and one of four in the American Rivers Conference to be honored.

This was the seventh time that the Dutch have received the award under head coach Mike Kobylinski, previously receiving the Gold Award in 2016, the Silver Award in 2014, 2018, 2019, 2020-21 and the Bronze Award in 2017.
