After the 2022 Legislative Session concludes, District 79 Representative Dustin Hite will no longer represent Pella after redistricting shifted the Iowa House and Senate maps in the state. Hite will instead run in the new Iowa House District 88 — remaining in his hometown, and in December, his initial competition decided against running. Current District 80 Representative Holly Brink has announced she will not run in the same district, currently leaving Hite unopposed in what would be a bid for his third term in the Iowa House. Hite still represents Pella and northern Mahaska County in the current Legislative Session, which begins Monday.
