Two days after pulling off two wins in Centerville, the Knoxville Basketball Squads found things much tougher in Eddyville on Thursday as both teams fell to the Rockets 51-47 in the girls game and 93-57 in the boys. The girls kept the score within three-to-five points for most of the game but EBF scored six straight points to start the 4th quarter and held on for the win. Larissa Wells led Knoxville with 15 points and Emma Dunkin scored ten. The boys hung with the Rockets in the first half with good shooting from the three point line and trailed 45-43, but were outscored 48-14 in the 2nd half. The Panthers struggled to shoot the ball from anywhere and were unable to hit a three point shot in the final two quarters. Gabe Clark continued his torrid week with 18 points to lead Knoxville. The girls fall to 4-5 and 2-3 in conference play while the boys are 2-5 and also 2-3 in the South Central Conference. Both Panthers are home tonight to play Albia.
