The Pella High School choir program is gearing up for competition. Pella’s AcaPella and Bravo show choirs will hit the circuit of shows across the state starting this month after rehearsing since late this summer. After COVID-19 limited last season’s performances, the high school varsity performers will return to a full slate of competitions in Benton, Mt. Pleasant, and DCG, compete in the annual state contest, and wrap up the season by hosting the annual two-day Dutch Masters’ Invitational. Seniors Aleigha Ausman and Kara Chenoweth both say the show has a unique focus on music relating to the planet Earth itself. The parent preview will be held on Thursday, with competition beginning on Saturday the 15th and following on most Saturdays until Dutch Masters February 18th and 19th.
