A former Knoxville Boys Track and Field Coach is now coaching at the college level. Drake University announced that Mike Cunningham II has been hired as an assistant for the Men’s Track and Field program. Cunningham coached the boys varsity from 2002-2014 winning six district titles, placed in the top ten at the state meet six times and seeing his athletes win six individual State Titles. Most recently C2 had been an assistant for the West Des Moines Valley Boys program and prior to his stint at Knoxville, was an assistant at his alma mater Simpson, where he competed from 1986-1989.
