Knoxville High School had 12 students selected to participate in the South Central Conference Honor Band yesterday at Albia (Al-bee-a) High School. The guest conductor was retired Albia High School band director Bernie Allgood. The SCC honor band gives students the opportunity to perform with other students from the South Central Conference. Students received their music in December and have spent several weeks preparing for the festival. The 12 students spent Monday morning rehearsing with other members of the SCC Honor Band for four hours before putting on the concert in the afternoon.
