State District 28 Representative John Thorup is continuing to work during this latest legislative session towards his goal of expanding resources for mental health in the state of Iowa. Representative Thorup tells KNIA/KRLS News that he believes that more can be done.

“I guess it’s probably not unique, but at least I know specifically about several cases that unfortunately we just have not had a good place to put people that have very, very severe mental health needs. And it winds up putting a whole lot of people in danger. That’s something I want to make some more progress on, and I think we will.
