The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in special session on Tuesday. Last Thursday, the United States Supreme Court blocked a federal mandate that employees of large businesses be vaccinated or regularly tested for COVID-19. The Supreme Court allowed a separate rule requiring vaccinations for health care workers that receive Medicare and Medicaid funds. The Board decided that at this time, Marion County Public Health did not fit the criteria to be required to impose the mandate.
