The Indianola City Council held a study session Tuesday evening, reviewing Phase 1 of the Indianola Downtown Square Reconstruction Project, and the timelines planned for Phase 2. Interim City Manager Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News the city will be able to apply the lessons learned from Phase 1 including dealing with the deep storm sewer pipes, water main components, and sidewalk construction.
“We take those lessons learned from Phase 1 and we showed the council how we can apply them for this year, and we also provided a timeline of what we think construction will look like when we start in 2022. Tentatively we are looking at the first week of March to begin construction on that, and we urge everyone to be patient with that because it is weather dependent.”
