Knoxville continues to grow and with more people moving to the city in the next few years, local businesses will be impacted–in a positive way. Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Emma Skahill tells KNIA/KRLS News about the benefits of the expansion of the city.
“We know that these housing developments and all the progress going on out at the VA means a lot for Knoxville, but also a lot for Knoxville business because as more people move to town, more people are going to want to shop local and potentially open businesses. So, we are here to help out however that looks. We are also getting ready to launch a marketing campaign to help draw people into town. And we know that we are going to have all these houses and apartments and they’re going to need filled, so we want to bring in people to Knoxville.
Skahill adds that as the year progresses, the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce will be posting updates about forthcoming chamber activities.
