The Simpson men’s basketball team could not keep pace with the Central College Dutch in the second half, falling 75-66 in a game heard live on 94.3 KNIA. The Storm and Dutch traded baskets in the first half, having nearly identical stats and seeing a tie score at 31 all, even with multiple Simpson players being in foul trouble. The second half was won by the Dutch however, as they outrebounded the Storm and held Simpson to just 35% shooting, all while outscoring the Storm 26-7 in the contest. Deontei Johnson led the Storm with 18 points. The Storm drop to 4-11 on the season and 1-5 in American Rivers Conference play, and will next play hosting Coe this Saturday.
