The 2022 Central College baseball schedule has been announced for first-year head coach Casey Klunder. The schedule features three American Rivers Conference series at home and 16 non-conference contests.
The Dutch open the season at U.S. Bank Stadium, the home of the Minnesota Vikings, on March 8th against the University of Wisconsin-Superior with the first game of the doubleheader starting at 9:30 p.m. Central then heads to Florida for eight games from March 13th-18th for the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational near Orlando. Following the trip to Florida, the Dutch will begin a 17-game stretch against the American Rivers Conference. Central will then play Bethel University (Minn.) in a three-game series in April. The Dutch will wrap up the regular season with six conference games split up by three non-conference games.
Klunder was named head coach on August 3 after a highly successful 16-year run as coach at Waverly-Shell Rock High School. Klunder will work to turn things around for the Dutch, after they finished 14-27 in 2021.
