After more than a week away from competition, the Pella Christian basketball teams return home and start the second half of the conference season hosting Norwalk.

The Warriors are coming off of a pair of comfortable wins over Carlisle Monday, and each find themselves in 5th place in the Little Hawkeye standings. Pella Christian and Norwalk split the first series, with the Eagles boys edging the Warriors 61-56, while the Warriors girls controlled a 48-27 victory.

Pella Christian is eight days removed from their last games — a pair of losses at Pella High School. The #6 in 2A Eagles boys are in 4th place in the league and have an outside shot at making a second-half surge to win the title, but that road will have to start against a Norwalk team that has pushed some of the league’s contenders to their limits, and Head Coach J.D. Boer knows nothing will come easy tonight.

The Norwalk girls are in need of a win after dropping out of the top 15 in 4A and with a key matchup looming Tuesday against #13 Pella. Head Coach Jill Martin expects the Eagles girls to get great benefit from a full week of practice.

Coverage of Pella Christian vs. Norwalk basketball begins at 5:45 p.m. on 92.1 KRLS and the Pella Christian High School YouTube channel.
