The new National VFW Commander in Chief will be making his first appearance in Knoxville today. Commander in Chief Matthew M. “Fritz” Mihelcic and State Commander Michael Braman will be at the Knoxville VFW from 6-8 pm. Mihelcic served in the 131st Tactical Fighter Wing of the United States Air National Guard from 1989 to 1999 and was elected as the 113th Commander-in-Chief on August 3rd, 2021. This event is open to the public and will include a free-will donation chili feed along with the opportunity to meet the new leader of the VFW.
