Shorthanded, the Melcher-Dallas Boys Basketball Squad shocked arch-rival Twin Cedars in overtime 60-59 to advance to the Bluegrass Conference Tournament quarterfinals on Monday. The Saints watched the Sabers tie the game at the end of regulation, but managed to score just one more point than Twin Cedars in the extra four minutes. Chase Ripperger scored 27 points to lead the Saints to advance to play top seed Moravia on Monday night in the quarterfinals. Dallas Clarke did all he could for Twin Cedars, scoring 35 points. The Sabers will play in a consolation game on Monday.
