Matt Dunkin has been named the new football coach for Knoxville. Dunkin was approved at last night’s school board meeting. He takes over a program that went 1-8 last season after former coach Eric Kellar resigned after week six of last season. Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the culture and getting bodies out for football is job number one.
Dunkin: “I think right now the biggest thing, is getting our culture going and building positive relationships with our players that we have and getting more guys and talking to them about coming out for football next year.”
Dunkin had been the offensive coordinator for the last three seasons for the Panthers. He is from Knoxville, graduating in 2006 and is currently a 3rd grade teacher at Northstar Elementary.
