The Knoxville American Legion honored three Knoxville High School Juniors that accepted an invitation to attend the 2022 American Legion Boys and Girls State Camps in June. Attendees of the State Camps will spend a week studying the different functions of government. The Legion will send James Douglas to the Boys State camp at Camp Dodge in Johnston from Sunday, June 19th-Friday, June 24th. This year marks the first time that the Knoxville American Legion will send female students to the Girls State Camp. Norah Pearson and Julian Bacon will attend The Girls State camp at Drake University from Sunday, June 19th-Friday, June 24th.
