Against the newest member of the Heart of Iowa Conference in Perry, PCM’s basketball squads split their final doubleheader with them Friday night.

 

The Mustangs’ girls hot streak was unfortunately stopped by Perry Friday night as they lost, 40-33. PCM went back and forth with Perry through three quarters until Perry outscored PCM in the fourth, 13-6. Emily Foster led the way in scoring for the Mustangs, scoring ten points. Addison Steenhoek was second on the team in scoring with seven. The loss drops PCM to 6-13 on the season and 5-6 in Heart of Iowa Conference play.

 

The Mustangs’ boys won their fifth out of six games, dominating the Blue Jays 80-42. PCM matched their season-high in points from their previous matchup with Greene County. The Mustangs also scored a season-high 54 points in the first half. With the win, PCM improves their record to 10-7 overall and 7-3 in Heart of Iowa Conference play.

 

Both teams will be back in action for another road Heart of Iowa Conference doubleheader Tuesday night at West Marshall.
