Pleasantville and Southeast Warren/Melcher-Dallas’ wrestling squads competed at the Charger Invitational in ACGC Saturday, and Pleasantville placed seventh, while Southeast Warren/Melcher-Dallas placed 19th.
The Trojans finished with 103 team points, one point behind sixth-place Panorama and six points ahead of eighth-place Woodward-Granger. A milestone was reached Saturday as Pleasantville senior wrestler Kitt Lundy won his 100th career match, winning by fall at 132 lbs over Caleb Will of Southeast Valley. Lundy finished third in his weight class. Lundy was also one of two top-three finishes for the Trojans. The other top-three finish was from Caleb Cook at 126 lbs, finishing second. Colton Halterman had the highest finish for Southeast Warren/Melcher-Dallas, placing third at 126 lbs. Halterman’s team finished 19 points ahead of Coon Rapids Bayard.
Postseason play begins for both squads next Saturday as both Pleasantville and Southeast Warren/Melcher-Dallas will travel to Interstate-35 High School in Truro for sectional matches.
