The Simpson Storm women’s basketball team has all but wrapped up a conference title, while the Storm men and Central men’s and women’s programs are fighting for a top-six spot in the conference standings and earning entry into the postseason tournament.

The #5 Storm women are undefeated in conference play and sit a full three games over second place contenders Loras and Wartburg having swept both teams already, and only have games remaining against teams with losing conference records except for 6-5 Dubuque. The Dutch women are currently three games back of the sixth place spot, and have yet to play Loras, Wartburg, and Simpson the second time through the conference round-robin, but will face Nebraska Wesleyan twice.

The Storm men and Central men are both four games back of a conference tournament spot with both teams only having one conference win apiece, with Simpson almost certainly needing to win all five of their remaining contests, with Central in the same boat, and the two teams will match up in the regular season finale on February 19th.
