The Indianola wrestling team is ranked 7th in the latest IWCOA dual team rankings, which means they will host a class 3A regional dual, needing to win one dual to go to the state meet at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Head coach Clinty Manny was recently named as the 2022 SW Iowa District Coach of the Year for Indianola’s performance this season, which included a finals appearance in the Battle of Waterloo and a Little Hawkeye Conference regular season and conference tournament titles, and tells KNIA News the Indians are battle tested against some of the top teams and wrestlers in the state, and are looking to peak at the right time. The Indians will face the winner of #11 Bondurant-Farrar and #20 Ottumwa next Wednesday beginning at 6pm.
