For the final time in the regular season, PCM’s basketball squads will go on the road for a Heart of Iowa Conference doubleheader against Roland-Story.

The Mustangs’ girls will try to pull off the upset over the No. 7 in Class 3A Norse tonight. PCM lost three of their previous four games, including losing 42-18 to No. 10 in Class 3A West Marshall Tuesday. The Mustangs will continue to operate shorthanded, without Sophia Steenhoek, Evelyn Burkett, and Elianna Buswell due to injury. PCM is looking for their first win over Roland-Story since January 2017.

The Mustangs’ boys will try to extend their winning streak to five against the No. 11 in Class 2A Norse. PCM’s last four victories have come over Saydel, Greene County, Perry, and West Marshall. The Mustangs’ Durant Van Dyke will have a tall task going up against the Norse, whose roster consists of seven players listed at 6’2” or taller. PCM is looking for their first win over Roland-Story since January 2019.

The doubleheader gets underway with the girls’ game tipping off at 6:00 PM. The games will be broadcast on the KRLS3 stream at kniakrls.com with Alex Koch on the call.
